Once upon a time, there was a beautiful island of emotions where all the feelings lived – Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, Vanity, Richness, and most importantly, Love. This is land was a haven of harmony, where emotions coexisted, shaping the essence of life.
One fateful day, it was announced that the island was sinking into the ocean. Alarmed, all the feelings hurriedly prepared their boats to leave. But love, ever selfless and devoted, chooses to stay. She wanted to protect and cherish the paradise she loved until the very last moment.
Love’s Journey to Find Help
As the island began disappearing beneath the waves, Love realized it was time to leave. Desperate, she turned to others for help. Justthen, Richness sailed by in an extravagant boat adorned with gold and jewels.
“Richness,” Love called out, “Can I come with you on your boat?”
Richness shook his head.
“I’m sorry, Love.
My boat is filled with treasures, and there’s no room for you.”
Heartbroken, Love turned to Vanity, who was approaching in a dazzling vessel.
“Vanity, please help me!” Love cried.
Vanity frowned.
“I can’t take you on my boat, Love. You’re wet, and you’ll ruin my perfect boat.”
Disheartened, Love saw Sadness nearby.
“Sadness, will you help me?”
But Sadness replied solemnly:
“I’m sorry, Love. I’m so overwhelmed by my own sorrow that I can’t help anyone right now.”
Finally, Love spotted Happiness, joyfully sailing by.
“Happiness!” Love called out. “Please take me with you!”
But Happiness was so consumed with his own excitement that he didn’t even hear her cries.
The Kindness of Time
As Love began to despair, she heard a kind voice.
“Come, Love. I will take you with me,” said an elder in a humble boat.
Love climbed a board, her heart swelling with gratitude. However, in her relief and joy, she forgot to ask the elder’s name.
When they reached dry land, the elder quietly departed. Love, now safe, sought out knowledge to find out who had rescued her.
“Knowledge,” Love asked, “Who was it that helped me?”
“It was Time,” Knowledge replied with a gentle smile.
“Time?” Love asked in surprise. “But why would Time help me when no one else would?”
Knowledge’s eyes gleamed with wisdom.
“Because only Time understands how great and profound Love truly is.”
