A Tale of Love, Strength, and Destiny | Votra Inc.
Once upon a time, there was a husband and wife who had a son. When their son turned 20, he opened a shop and got married. On the first night of their marriage, the couple slept in the shop, as their home was too small.
The next morning, the young man told his wife that he was going to bathe in the lake. She urged him to stay and use the water she had prepared, but he didn’t listen and left.
His wife waited for him all day and night, but he never returned. Realizing he was lost, she cut her hair, dressed in his clothes, put on his hat, and transformed herself into him. The next morning, she went to her in-laws’ home, and they did not recognize her. When they asked when they would see the new bride, she simply replied, “You will see her later.”
She returned to the shop, selling and buying goods just as her husband had done, careful not to be discovered. For six years, she ran the business successfully, and no one suspected a thing.
The Husband’s Return
One night, a knock came at the shop’s door.
— ”Who is it?” she asked in her disguised voice.
— “Open up, it’s me,” the voice replied.
She opened the door, and a man entered—a stranger to her, just as she was to him. But when he noticed the revolver at her waist, the very one he had once owned, he said:
— “You have taken my place!”
Realizing it was her long-lost husband, she threw her arms around him with joy. They sat and talked through the night.
The next day, the man took his wife to his parents. He explained that when he went to bathe in the lake, he was swallowed by a giant fish and only survived when the fish finally died after six years.
His wife then revealed the truth—that to protect the family and keep the business running, she had disguised herself as him.
The husband and wife embraced, and his parents, overwhelmed with joy, wept at their reunion. From that day forward, they lived happily ever after, forever bound by love and resilience.
